If you are a conventional kiln enthusiast, the MicroKiln can also be a welcome addition to your studio, doing small jobs in minutes and freeing up hours of kiln time!

You can save a day of kiln time by tack fusing pendants and doing preliminary firings in the MicroKiln.   The photo on the left below shows a pendant base that was tack fused in the MicroKiln.  I finished the piece in my regular kiln where I could keep a close eye on temperature and the exact stage of fusing.

I also use the MicroKiln for making small beads and animal eyes to decorate my jewelry pieces.

In the piece to the right, the petals were cut and ground by hand,
but the center is a little bead.  The background for this piece was also initially fused in the MicroKiln, with final fusing in my studio kiln.
